Moisturizers are an essential part of any daily skincare routine. We so often focus on what’s in the ingredients of these creams, we don’t tend to glance very long at the packaging which traditionally has been a jar. Well today, we change all that! Today we’re going to list some of our favorite moisturizers based on their packaging alone.

Some are on this list because of aesthetics, others have more eco-friendly twists to them. Let’s dive in and see what’s what.

Glossier hand cream

There’s nothing worse than accidental spillages in the bottom of your bag. Glossier knows this all too well which is why they came up with their Hand Cream packaging pod.

Reminiscent of an Apple iPods case, this little beauty snaps closed securely after each use, ensuring no errant cream will make its way into your purse (or anywhere else for that matter). The color is also as soothing as its contents – a blush pink that stays in brand but catches the eye in the bottom of a busy bag.

Tata Harper’s Water-Lock Moisturizer with Skin-Smoothing Peptides

Tata Harper has a dedication to going green… literally. The striking color of this moisturizer will ensure it stands out in a crowd. Better than its aesthetic, however, is the fact they offer refills. This cuts down significantly on waste and ensures their brand is doing its best to help the environment.

La Mer’s Neck and Décolleté Concentrate

You don’t get much more aesthetic than La Mer’s Neck and Décolleté Concentrate packaging. Staged in a shimmery silver, it’s designed with elegance and finery in mind.

This works exceedingly well for their brand and their products. It gives their range a delicious, almost decadent feel that ensures people have their brand front of mind when they consider those phrases.

Kate McLeod’s Daily Stone

The daily stone moisturizer is a stellar product unto itself but its packaging is particularly impressive as well. Kate McLeod offers two different packaging options for the daily stone: a muslin travel bag or a reusable bamboo canister.

Both have their pros and cons. Our personal favorite is the bamboo canister. Once used you can simply refill it with your product of choice and keep your bathroom looking Instagram aesthetic.

Necessaire Body Serum

Necessaire has gone above and beyond with the packaging for their body serum. Not only is it climate neutral certified, but it’s also 100% recyclable and sports a carbon footprint offset of 100%.

The carton is manufactured in the U.S. while the package is manufactured in France.

This sort of dedication to environmentalism from the beauty industry should be lauded for the brilliant effort it is. They’ve shot past the bare minimum and aimed for the stars.

Not all moisturizers are created equal

Moisturizers are great for replenishing the skin and softening fine lines. As important as their ingredients are, their packaging can be just as exciting. Now you know five brands that take their moisturizer packaging to the next level.
